    is truly the
LOUDEST TUBA MOUTHPIECE IN THE LINE!!
Trumpet players call their Maynard mouthpieces, “a dime with a hole in it”. Well not to be outdone, LOUD created the “silver dollar with a hole in it!” This is for BREAKING GLASS! If your band director can’t get enough sound from the sousaphone section, lay this on him…Sheer annihilation. That’s what this mouthpiece is all about. You’ll get comments like ”Holy *@#%” “Were you playing a CANNON?!?!
    This is the
    shallowest tuba mouthpiece cup
I have EVER seen anywhere in the world! And…the
    wide cushioned rim
    will allow you to
    play comfortably for hours.
Of course, the stainless steel reduces fatigue to an absolute minimum. For marching band…there is no other…ladies and gentlemen…the LM-12.
The low brass mouthpiece world is moving to Stainless Steel. Comparing a Stainless Steel mouthpiece to a brass mouthpiece is a lot like comparing a flip phone to an iphone. We all thought the flip phone was great until we checked out our first iphone.
Stainless steel reduces the vibrations of your mouthpiece giving you, the performer, the best possible playing experience. To reduce vibration, you need harder metal. Stainless steel is much harder than brass. The yellow brass used to make silver plated brass mouthpieces has an average hardness of 58. 304L-grade stainless steel used to make LOUD mouthpieces has an average hardness of 140. LOUD mouthpieces are more than double the hardness of yellow brass, silver plated mouthpieces!
When you play your brass instrument, the mouthpiece vibrates as your embouchure vibrates. When you play louder it vibrates more, creating an “edge” in your sound and limiting your loudest dynamics. The more your mouthpiece vibrates, the less sound and energy go through your horn.
Switching from brass to Stainless Steel helps you gain projection (LOUD) and stamina!
Many musicians who switch to LOUD mouthpieces realize that it takes a lot less effort to play because they aren’t having to fight their mouthpiece. You can focus on your music instead of lipping-up on notes or lipping-down, backing off etc.
NOTE: LOUD mouthpieces have sold at recent auctions for 0 and 0. See pictures.
I sold several of these mouthpieces a couple of years ago that were the remaining finished factory inventory of mouthpieces. This mouthpiece was "work in process" which the manufacturer has now finished for sale. I also have the LM10. See other listings or contact me for status.
